Our New Apartment!

Yay! So this is older news but I know a lot of people still need our new address so I figured I might as well post!

New address:

13849 Braddock Springs Road
Apartment A
Centreville VA 20121
At the end of August we were able to rent and move into this lovely two bedroom, two bathroom apartment! I know we will probably outgrow it in a year or two but we love being able to use all of our wedding gifts and to have a place to call our "own"!
A few pictures!

A very short lived Halloween...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

I cannot tell you how excited Jon, Hannah and myself were about Halloween this year. Hannah was psyched to show off her Tinkerbell Costume and to ring doorbells for Trick or Treating while Jon and I were looking forward to taking her around dressed up as Bret Michael's and an 80's fan...yesterday evening we were in a flurry running around getting everybody ready. As I was putting the finishing touches on my make up I heard a sound no mother ever wants to hear, and a trail of yucky throw up to boot. :( Poor Hannah came down with stomach virus 20 minutes before we were suppose to leave the house!! After making tons of phone calls to cancel plans for trick or treating meet ups and parties, we settled down into a long night of watching movies, drinking Gatorade and laundry. Luckily, Hannah woke up this morning feeling much better, thank goodness it wasn't the actual flu!!! Unfortunately I didn't get an good pictures of Hannah in her costume, so I will try to take some today and post them this afternoon!!

The Pledge of Alligence

I just had to share this with everyone! Notice how quickly she changes her mind once she is bribed... :) Enjoy!

I know...worst blogger in history...

After I lost the charger to my camera (over Memorial Day weekend at LKA) I sort of gave up on the blog. BUT I was finally able to buy a new camera and so we are back in business!! I started a new job at the beginning of August which has been a whirlwind event. I love the kids I teach (they are 2's and almost 3's) and their parents but the I have had some issues with how the
staff handle licensing and health issues. I am doing my very very best to just keep my trap shut, so we will see how long THAT lasts for. I can't wait for Jon to finish school so we can move forward with all of this mess. Poor guy, he is ready for school to be over I think, I told him only THREE more semesters after this one!!! YAY!! :)

Hannah amazes us every day between having full conversations and telling jokes now. She cracks us up! Our weekends now normally consist of Hannah's live entertainment of singing, reciting the Pledge of Alligence, dancing and playing dress up. It's actually nice since we don't go out anymore we are up bright and early and truly enjoy the day that is laid out ahead of us. Posted below are some test pictures with the new camera. As you can see Hannah is no longer (in any way, shape or form) a "baby". My good friend Natania reminded me, "Owen's going to be THREE in December!!!". I can't believe these two munchkins were once our baby bumps!! My favorite picture is the one where she is sitting straight up, long hair flowing down her shoulders. Such a lady! :)

My favorite! Cheesin! Engrossed with "Finding Nemo"

Catch up through Mother's Day weekend!

We have been trying to get outside as much as possible during the nice days! The weekend was jam packed with activities, we helped our friend Caitlin Crawford celebrate her 21st birthday (I forgot my camera of course!) The next day we road tripped it to Annapolis, Maryland for our friend's wedding (Congratulations Chad and Stacey KIEFFER!) Check out my Facebook account for lots of pictures of the fabulous event! Mother's Day was wonderful and we celebrated by meeting Momma Crawford at Backyard Grill in Chantilly. We celebrated with a yummy brunch and Mimosa's. John's family was there as well as my brother and sister. Of course, I forgot my camera AGAIN! :( I promise I will be getting better about this picture thing!

Potty training update

Day 2: Hannah went to school today with four sets of extra clothes and an extra pair of shoes. She did so great! Although she had two accidents her teacher said they were very small ones, her clothes didn't even get wet! She realized she was "going" and bee lined it for the potty. Could this really be it?? My baby is growing up waaaaay too fast!! :) I will keep ya'll updated with more good news!

Catch up...no pics though!

As the spring semester is coming to an end, both Jon and I will be so happy to breathe a sigh of relief. We complete our finals this week and then we are free for the summer! Hip Hip hooray! With my new job as a Photography Consultant for Bella Pictures and Jon's night job as a D.J we rarely have time to meet up with friends. April 20th Jon took me out to dinner for my birthday to (yummy yummy) Ruth Chris Steakhouse and then out for drink with grown ups. Thank you honey for spoiling me! I believe it was that Friday we were able to go over and hang out with one of our favorite families, the Claybornes! Hannah and Owen had a blast running around and playing (and competing on who could use the potty the most!) while the grown ups enjoyed a beverage and relaxed! We love you guys, good luck with the house search and let us know if you need help moving into it!

Today was such a successful day with Hannah's potty training! I had no meetings to attend AND it was raining so it was perfect day to tackle this daunting task! Undies went on and as soon as I said "Tell me when you have to go pee pee" she said, "Uh-oh..", we raced to the bathroom and luckily it was a very tiny accident and she finished her business on the potty! The whole rest of the day through playtime and and lunch she did so awesome! Not one accident. In the afternoon our neighbor came over with her son, Ryan, so they were running around like two kids stuck inside on a rainy day. Literally. She did great except for the part where she shut herself into the closet (with no light on) and literally scared the piss out of herself. (Excuse my bluntness). But that was it!! Only two! We are so proud and excited!! Tomorrow we are sending her to school with a few outfits to see if she can make it through the day there as well. Keep your fingers crossed!
